Paper Dolls: A Fashion Project
Paper Dolls is a project showcasing clothes made out of paper and non-fabric materials.
I started with an idea of making outfits and designing outfits out of paper-based materials to be used in a fashion spread. The idea grew to not only include a full fashion photoshoot, but a live runway show as well! I put together six outfits made of paper, cellophane, spray paint, tissue paper, and various specialty papers.
This project (the outfits and the fashion show poster along with the behind-the-scenes video) was entered and accepted into Cal Poly's 2D3D juried art show 2017 and won 2nd place!
This project was presented at the AIGA Design Educators MAKE Conference in June of 2018. Here is a link to the published paper:
